Ginger interview re-film

We had to re-film the interviews with the people who have red hair because in the original filming the mise en scene was not right the first time and we needed a plainer background.

Ginger questions;

1. Have you always had your natural ginger hair (Have you ever died your hair before)?
2. Do you feel comfortable with your current hair colour?
(why/why not)
3. Would you ever consider dying your hair?

(why/why not)

4. Have you ever been teased or bullied because of your hair colour?
(If yes, tell me a bit about that experience)

5. Tell me about your views on bullying people because of their hair colour

6. What are your views on the word ‘ginger’ and the connotations that surrounds it?

7. What are your views on sperm banks stopping ginger people from donating sperm?

We used the same framing :

Ginger by choice questions:

1. Why did you choose to dye your hair ginger?

2. Do you feel people treat you differently now that you have ginger hair/

3. Were you unhappy with your natural hair colour?

4. What other colours have you dyed it?

5. What are your views on the word 'ginger' and the connotations that surround it?

Common room interviews redo

We had to redo the common room interviews as the framing the first time wasn't correct. We used the same questions:

1. Is your hair important to you?

(If yes why?)

2. What are your views on the theory that a person’s hair gives them individuality?

3. Tell me about how important it is to you to keep your hair healthy and on trend?

4. What advice would you give people about looking after their hair?

5. Do you think you can tell a lot about a person from their hairstyle?

6. Do you think people’s hair has an impact on their mood?

Contacting Marcus Collins

We also contacted Marcus Collins who used to be a hairdresser. We thought because he lived locally it was best to try. We did not expect a response and did not recieve one.

Contacting Andrew Collinge

We contacted Andrew Collinge at the start of our planning proccess as he is a famous hairdresser and he has salons locally. We were not expecting that we would get an interview but thought it was best to try. We did not recieve a response.
